Die hard Ford guy here that currently has 4 Fords in the driveway. One of which is a 2018 F150 crew cab XLT 5.0 with FX4 we lease so we have one vehicle in the stable with a warranty. I love the power of the truck and holy eff is it fast with that 10 speed, dusts unsuspecting cars and CUV's all day.

BUT! That 10 speed shifts funny under normal driving. Especially when it downshifts to try to maintain speed or when braking to a stop. I hate it. It jerks passenger's heads around and makes it seem like idk how to drive smoothly. It has been updated once before by the dealer, still not impressed.

My biggest gripe currently is the sorry excuse for off road/snow performance. The friggin electronics get in the way trying to get up my steep 1/4 mile long driveway in the winter. The brake controlled rear limited slip is junk. It's only good for chewing through over 60% of my rear pads in 16kmi! And even engaging the locker and 4wd you better have a running start, bc it will just kill kill kill the power as you try to get going on a hill. That's when disabling traction control and holding it to disable advancetrac, the truck never fully turns it off and just lets the tires spin to dig in. Or do donuts if you put it in 2 wheel and want to have fun in a snowy parking lot!

Am I missing something else I can disable to make the truck actually work better? Are there other trucks out there with a mechanical limited slip that you can also lock in? My 04 F150 did great in 4 wheel with the standard traction Lok rear. How about the Nissan Titan? I've heard great things about those and the Pro4X at least comes with an electronic locker, but will I get much of the same performance in the snow and off road?
