Thanks for the pics! Hopefully they stick with the lettering on the trunk lid this time. Where did you see that?

I like the exterior appearance and the performance improvements. About the only thing I wish they offered was more color selections. At least you can get a 5-speed.

I dont remember what exactly they did, but it has the same upgrades as the Hertz Shelby GT-H giving it 325 HP.

thumbnails suck

Stangnet should think about getting everyone a complimentary photobucket account or something else, no forget that, people need to get there own so that we can actually see attachments that are thumbnails. Just a rant because i have a lot of curiosity to the new shelby and wanted to see some detail in those pics.

The car is on the cover of a few rags this month, the one thing, speaking of details, that cought my eye is the hood scoop. I am sure its not functional but I really don't care about that, I just like hood scoops or vent and such. In the pics in the magazine you can see little rivits along the sides of the hood scoop. I saw yesterday my first 07' mdl equiped with the GT apperance pkg that also comes with a hood scoop. The GT apperance pkg car i saw in person had a no exposed rivits and looked real, real good to me, the SHELBY GT325 in the magazines had kinda a cheap afterthought look to its hood scoop do to the rivits. Anyone know whats going on here with this or has noticed the same thing I did.

Also in the pics on this thread it looks like it has a small duck tail, does it or is it just the lighting in the pic.

I'm sure it's non-functional too.

BTW, The grill isn't a Foose grill, it's also used on the Shelby CS6 and GT-H. The lower front valence is the same one that's on the GT/CS, not a CDC part.

If you have a photobucket account or something similar where your pictures are stored on-line you can use the following (minus the *)

*[*IMG]www.....*[/IMG*] to post pictures in the body of your reply. Just make sure you have them resized small enough so that the picture doesn't take up the whole page. Anywhere between 500 - 600 for width seems good.

On to the hood scoop: There isn't a point to making it functional. Other than nostalgia? The old carburated cars used functioning scoops to pull cold air from outside the car, new cars grab cold air from the fender well. I don't believe the Mach 1's shaker did anything to increase horsepower at all. Especially considering that all of the previous 4V N/A Cobra motors put out similar numbers.

Here are the specs for the Mach 1:
Engine MOD 4.6L DOHC V8 (Aluminum Block)
Displacement 4.6L, 281 cu. in.
Horsepower @ rpm 305 @ 6000
Torque lb.-ft. @ rpm 320 @ 4250
Compression Ratio 10.1:1
Fuel System Sequential multi-port electronic fuel injection
Fuel Requirement Premium (91 octane minimum)

i dunno, it brings up a large pic, then shrinks it down to fit the screen for me. if i make the window smaller or larger, the pic does the same.

IMO, Ford really let us down on the Shelby GT. 35K for a measily 25HP improvement over the GT? I think most would agree that for a base GT and 9 Grand you can get over a 100HP increase and some good suspension mods...

I think people focus too much on HP numbers and not on the whole package.
