I just purchased a 76 cobra 2. I have a couple of options for the motor I am going to use. Just looking for opinions on which route to go. Motors I already have on hand. 1) 98 32 valve out of a mark 8 2) 98 explorer 5.0 with the gt40p heads 3) 94 5.8 out of a full size bronco 4) late 60 289 out of a mustang 5) last but not least a 2005 4.6 3 valve out of a got mustang. This is where I am starting

Welcome to the site!

I guess it depends on how far you want to go with fabrication. The easiest to work with are the 2 small Windsors, next being the 351, then the mod motors. Any of them would be a decent choice depending on a lot of variables.....

Welcome! I too have a 76 Cobra II. I don't know why but I can't view the pictures. So, What color is it?

Welcome on board 76CobraII. I love the fact you have options abounding.
Just slap that 289 in there and lets get on to burn out pics.

Remember the RoadKill mantra "Don't get it right just get it running."
I'm kidding of course, I like em 'right' 2.

No pics 4me too today and had to re-log in with new password.
I'm sure our mods will have these growing pains straightened out in no time.
There pretty attentive even if not sober.

The pics were there earlier today. It's mainly red with a white passenger door, missing passenger fender, black hood and black driver fender IIRC. I'm sure when the site is back to running at 100% you'll be able to see the pics. The mods have been working on upgrading for a few days, I'm sure they'll have it up and running soon.....
