Newbie Trac-lok questions

I recently have had my mustang lowerd on springs(with anti squat brackets to boot) and had a trak-lok(posi-traction) limited slip differential installed on my 2005 v6. My tires are still stock. Is it typical for you to hear a rubbing or skidding sound when you take sharp corners at low speeds? If so is it the sound of the Limited Slip Differential aka clutch chatter, or is it the outside tire skidding off the ground? Is there anything I can do to remedy the sound if its not infact normal?

I'm positive the sound is coming from the rear of my car and not the front, and also I haven't been able to find any spot where any of the tires would've rubbed off the body(perhaps it hasn't made any visible indicators yet...but I've driven it quite a distance with the springs ang t-lok).

Please don't respond with brandX is better than T-Lok, I'm not really looking to buy another Limited Slip Diff right now.

I was thinking something along the same lines, which is why I'm going to try to add some friction modifier to the diff this weekend. The wierd thing is, at another forum I was told all the noise was normal so I came here and signed up for a second opinion.

The only reason I use the term posi-traction is because some people simply only refer to LSD's using generic terminology.....kind of like kleenex and tissue. I used it in () for this reason....I understand its a GM part, and I meant no association between the two brands.

Anyways thanks for your respsonse. Now I just need to find a place around here to get some friction modifier, otherwise the car is going to sit for a year without.

Thanks for your advice. I dunno if I'll be able to have it shipped in time, even if the shipping is fast, this option may leave me with very little time to work on the car and fix the problem...if its more serious than needing lubricant. I'm going to get some 75-140w soon though

Well I drained the old lube that was in there and it smelled horrible. Made me want to vomit. Then I put the plate back on the diff and added some Trans-x synthetic gear lube additive and some synthetic mobil 75-140W. Then I drove it out the bay I was working in and it still made the same noises its been making. Then I drove it around and went and got something to eat and realized it stopped making the noises after I made a few turns...I think the problem is all fixed. After a few days or so here I'll know for sure...
