ok, guys. i will have a little bit of $$$ on friday. like 400-500 (its onle enough for like one part, but if i put a game plan together then i can plan out the rest) i was wondering what should my next mod be? i am really kicking around the idea about the NOS setup. so if i do get a NOS kit i will have to have a custom tune done, if i don't then i will still get a custom tune done, just not a NOS tune. if that makes sense.
The way i look at it. with out getting into heads, cams, supercharger or headers. i don't have much left right?
it will either be, gears, MAF, Xcal and or NOS.
i just spent a bunch of $$$ last month so supercharger is out the window.
but if i get the NOS kit then i was told not to go with the MAF, but to leave it stock.
i guess i could also do a short shifter.
I really want to get some more HP out of her. i would like to hit at least 300 RWHP. is this possible with a N/A engine?
have i missed anything? any ideas? any other bolt on's worth my time or $$$ ???
should i pick up an NOS kit, then an xcal? i could have the shop tune it then. but i'm still a little worried about the NOS idea.
Its still under factory warr (only 22k miles on her). and i would like to be able to put it back to almost stock quickly if need be.
so far i have a densecharger, CAI, BKK 70mm t/b, trickflow plenum & spacer. Mac pro chamber, mac cat back and frpp aluminum driveshaft.

You can get VT stg 1 N/A cams for $550...that seems like a good next mod. I am waiting on mine. Oh and MAF is pretty much useless. The other choise is a handheld tuner..or that Xcal. Either one really i guess.

that's not n/a silly

anyways, i say gears and a short shifter, get rid of that sloppy ass stock shifter. then you can save up again for heads and cams are you looking for good track times or just numbers?

yeah pretty much done that's just what I keep telling myself, welcome to the mod bug. But what you said get gears, 4.10's you'll love'em. Shifter is nice I prefer the MGW but I am biased. cams, heads , intake, blower, n2o, suspension, system, ext, mods, brakes, chassis, oh the list keeps going. But since you didn't list any I strongly rec, subframe connectors, and gears next. That way you'll put the power down acc. quicker. If you shop you should be able to do both for 500.

Yeah, but then he's gotta pay for the installation and i'm sure all gears, subframe connectors and install will be over 500

Well I think if 500 is all you have do gears. the only worth wile mod you need that isnt' going to cost more.

cams are nice but you have to tune the car and do springs if you really want to do it right.

Yeah your right I guess let's see mustangtuning 189.95 with free shipping, Master bearing kit 80, install 200, Subframes on ebay 60 delivered weld them in myself. for a grand total of 529.95. Then again I cann't bat my eyelashes and get cheaper installs, or "discount" parts at steeda either.

Keep in mind though even if you get the gears you need a way to correct your speedo.

The xcal and predator will both do it. Or you can get a speedcal from dallas mustangs for like $60-$70.

since you'll prob drop the money on a xcal or pred later go ahead and get it now then do the gear change.

Save that 500 for the next time you'll have 500.

Keep saving until you can afford a Kenne Bell
