No left turn power steering

66 coupe stock ps ram. The bushings, boot, and collar stay w the ram and dont extend when turning the wheel. turning right works fine, left has no assist. Wtf?

I don't know the answer but I think Im having the same problem with the aftermarket PS in our 65. You are not alone.

I saw this when I looked under the car. I think the rubber here broke from the hole it went through. Is it that way on yours. Our stang also has PS on right but not left..

So the inner washer has gone over the shaft stop. It was a cheap ebay kit like $6. Got 5 years out of it tho . Now I got a scott drake bushing kit, the washers are much thicker. Had to grind the new bushings down to get em to fit. $20 fix

I think that too. There is some kind of spacer with it also. I think the previous owner put it on with the spacer and the washer without the bushing. When I try to put it together how it was originally on there. There is only room for 1 bushing.

I have a question though. You were correct that bushings were too thick, but I cut them down. I think a little too short. They are a little snug at the pin hole but I can go farther. Is this going to be a problem. It does drive well now.
