I recently installed an Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold but this problem was happening before this but not as frequent. The two could be completely unrelated. When I start up the car my oil pressure guage doesn't work at all it just sits there. After driving sometimes it will kick on or after I stop and turn it back on. I think it's just a bad connection in the dash but I want to make sure it's not hurting my motor. I see no signs of oil leaks anywhere and just did an oil change after I put the intake on. No other guages are acting up like temperature so I'm pretty sure it's the connection but I just need clarification. Thanks.

Get an aftermarket gauges on there to see what is really going on.

Could be the sending unit, connection at the sending unit or a connection under the dash. To be for sure, an aftermarket gauge would be best to show exactly what the oil pressure is.
Might try changing the stock sending unit for a possible cheap fix?

IF, you really had no oil preasure, you would KNOW in only a few moments of running the engine. Trust me.

That's why I'm 99% sure that I have oil pressure because I have driven the car like that for over a week and it still runs fine. So is it the sending unit or just the gauges messed up?

sending unit, pick up the special socket to remove it while you're at the parts store, there is a thread about that from a few days ago.
