The idea I love, I have always wanted the look of an old mustang 69 or 70 with a six speed and updated suspension, disc brakes! What do you guys think about this and do you think it is even practical or is this some kinda hackjob?

Hi,
If resto-mod is your flavor then, nothing wrong in doing it. I put a T5z and TCP front end and dual Webers in my 64.5 vert. A 6 speed with low rear (3.89) and a hotter cam would make for a fun machine. A 6 speed with a 3.00 rear would not work very well. I's not a "hack" job" unless you "hack it", in making the change.
Happy Trails!

That ebay auction makes me cry in side. A 69 sports roof is too good to waste on an 05-09 S197 Mustang. The 3 valve motor is a bastard motor and is basically not being used anymore. It was a spring board for Ford to learn and put together the new 5.0.

All that work and its still has a solid rear axle and front struts. Not worth it IMO. If I'm going that crazy I'm going to build a SLA front and an IRS rear with SLA.
