November accident update: first installment of parts have arrived

as in $6294.86 in parts with about another $3000 to follow. I have renamed the car from Sally (as in Mustang Sally, which is prolly a huge cliche by now) to Steve Austin. Why Steve? The price tag of Six Million Dollars for Steve-O is about what I feel like I have wasted, er um, invested in my car up to now.

"Steve Austin. Mach 1. A car barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic car. Steve Austin will be that car. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster."

Acutally, I was going about 35 mph. It turns out that the equation of X+Y+Z makes for an accident, where

X=extremely hard tire compound
Y=icey road conditions on a curving bridge and
Z=400 hp/400 ft lbs of torque

What I got includes the following:

• currie 9" rear axle housing
• Global West L11 Cat 5 rear leaf springs (at $950, these were not cheap)
• Manaflow complete 2.5" stainless steel exhaust kit (mufflers, X pipes, etc)
• FPA ceramic coated long tube headers
• koni shocks
• replacement seat frames for the ones that broke (these appear to be among the last ones in the US)
• reproduction door shell
• full rear quarter
• inner wheel house
• outer wheel house
• full length rear frame rail
• 2 torque boxes in the front
• trunk floor pan
• rear valance
• front valance
• front spoiler
• rear bumper
• two new tires
• replacement wheel

And a bunch of other crap I cannot think of at the moment. Overseas shipping and duty really add up.

Next up are the parts to rebuild the tranny, a new alum drive line, and a roller cam conversion. I will port the heads will I am at it and have the car painted. I will be able to insure the car for 2/3 of what I put into it. I would like to go on record as saying I have my head completely up my bum. I need help.
