When I go to put my engine back together im bolting up a new catless H-pipe and am just wanting to make sure I have all my bases covered. From what I have read in past threads I have the following to be aware of:

1. Plugging air tube on the pipe itself
2. Plugging holes on the back of the heads

And as for the wires connected to the air tube to the smog pump? Let them hang? Will it set some codes off?

Obviously wont need that tube from the smog pump to the air tube connected to the h-pipe so I'll just let the pump act as a pulley...will letting it pump air into nothing cause any codes?

You can also just connect the smog tube to the O/R pipe (if you ever envision hooking back up to cats in the future, it's not a bad idea).

From what I recall, some folks don't get a code with disconnected TAB/TAD's and some do. Resistors can trick the the computer's CEL.

The pump can discharge to atmosphere - that's no biggie. You might want to watch how this is done just to keep the head of the pump from becoming corroded or dirty.

Good luck.

so are you saying the new h pipe doesn't have the air tube hookup? If not just buy a shorter belt and bypass the smog pump
