I agree with then. I thought you were talking about an aftermarket pipe where they usualy only have 1 cat on each side

What would it sound like with just the rear cats removed? There are no o2 sensors behind them.
Would it throw codes for the SES light?

Really your best result is prob. gona come from an aftermarket pipe. Just spend the money and be happy with the awsome sound you will get.

That is where I'm going, but I might experiment 1st, for fun. I wonder if that would sound good at all. I image it would and cannot see why it would throw a code, do you?

You can gut the cats and get mil's

just for the rear 2 i doubt it, try it see what happens and let us know

No, I'm not going to gut them. The increasing turbulence in those cannisters and actually hurts flow, imo.

What I might do is cut the rear two out, temporarily clamp in a piece of straight pipe, and see what happens....

Give it a whirl im not sure how much you will see or what you will get but it will be an expirence for everyone

Any other '04 owners out there have their stock H in? I want to confirm that the rear cat has nothing behind it.

Also, what does the rear cat/box do? Anything?
