I've had an O2 sensor check engine light for a little time now, Tuner at the dyno tune told me because the guy who initialy installed the long tube headers cheaped out and just cut and lengthened the wires instead of plug in extenders, no big deal the car runs good will fix later I said. After a few hundred miles the car has begun to miss under heavy acceleration but only when it is warm, under normal driving conditions it runs fine, have cleared check engine light just for the same code to reappear multiple times. The car is supercharged so I don't want to run it hard while it misses, afraid of fuel mixture problems. Unsure if I'm not letting the ECU have time to diagnose or recognise the problem or not. Question is, could the O2 sensor have finnaly given up and be causing the miss? Gonna replace it and add plug in extenders in a couple of weeks. Any ideas of next step if that doesn't fix the problem?
