Just barely but it is an official uncorrected 13sec time.
The first run they only let us run the 1/8th because of some serious head wind.
Too bad too because it was my best 1/8th ever and probably would've been my best 1/4 mile run.

I shifted at 6100 into first and second and held third to the line and found the rev limiter.
Had to shift into fourth right at the finish line which is why the mph was soo slow on the three full runs.

Not bad for a stock cammed Mustang:SNSign:

Congrats!

You do your racing at Firebird? When I come home and fix that rear main seal, we may have to hit up the track.

-Thanks

-Yep, Firebird. www.firebirdonline.com

-Sounds like a plan.

You in the Colorado Springs area?
I used to live in Woodland Park and then Divide. My folks commuted to CS for work.

Looking at his sig...it looks like the cam is the only stock piece in his h/c/i.

Correct!

Stock camshaft, throttle body, MAF, injectors, etc.
If it isn't in my sig its a sure bet that it is OEM part.

Yep, low trap speed.

Here's what happened:
I shifted into 2nd and then 3rd @ 6100 rpm.
I held third and thought I would be crossing the line around 6500rpm.
I ended up hitting the rev limiter and had to shift into 4th just before crossing the finish line.
That slowed my car down a bunch and caused the low trap speed.
Trap speed is calculated on the last 320'.

Funny thing is I was trapping at 98mph when I went to the track on 4-7-07.

I was shifting at 6100rpm still but didn't hold third gear like I did this last time.

So, shifting into fourth at 6100rpm gave me more mph but lower ETs. And, not shifting into fourth until I hit the rev limiter at the line gave better ETs but lower mph.
