So I opened my hood to do any oil change last night to find out that my k&n air filter is now a k&n oil filter and is leaking a lot of oil so can anyone help me on this one please
Severe blow-by would cause oil to travel through the valve cover vent on the drivers side and back into the intake.
Is your oil level low or anything? It would really take a lot of oil to do that. Is it possible you just over-oiled the K&N and it is accumulating at the bottom of the filter?
Also, if it really is blowing that much oil into the intake, your MAF sensor is going to be filthy I would assume, and your car is probably going to run like crap.
Your pcv valve is probably clogged, i would recommend replacing it and if you still have blowby after that install a catch can in the line running between the pcv valve and the intake.
I know it's not k&n oil for sure it motor oil ill try the pcv valve and check back in. but what is up with a catch can I'm not to familiar with one of those??? and is this something that mustangs are known for??? O ya and thanks for all the help
kinda and you be surprised when u see how fast it gets filled up with oil.....when i installed my catch can on my 03' GT i was draining it like every month
