Is there a specific torque setting for the oil pan drain plug?

Or you can do what I always do. Get a good firm grip on the socket wrench and tighten that sucker as tight as you can get it.

I do that all the time and have no problems.

Thanks...but I'll take my chances with the torque wrench
Stripped a couple drain plugs in my day, and don't need to do THAT ever again!

Actually...the 2 times I managed to strip the threads were on motorcycles. The aluminum threads on the oil pan are what stripped...what a pain that was to fix it was enough to make me cautious.
