oil filter torque

i got one of these things and it is great for removing the filter, but it cannot be used to tighten the new oil filter down. do you guys tighten the filter down with your hands only?

Hand tight only. And I used to do 25 oil changes a day. Some hands tighten better than others though.

I always go hand tight only and it still be a mofo to get em off.

Yup, hand tight. Technically, tighten till the gasket touches then an additional 3/4 turn more.

stick your finger in the new fresh oil and rub it around the oil gasket before you put it in
