I have to change my oil and I have no idea what year the 5.0 is. I am guessing all oil filters are the same for the 5.0 liter Ford. Just wanted to make sure with you guys. My guess is that it is a 89-93 fuel injected.
Thanks in advance

You need a Motorcraft FL1A filter, unless you have the optional, external oil cooler. Then you need the Motorcraft FL-300 filter. The FL-300 is essentially a shorter version of the FL1A.

Thanks, is the FL-300 basically shorter due to clearance issues?

Don't run a fram filter. They tend to fall apart internally

I only run a Motorcraft FL1A. Same filter for my 5.0s and both my 65 200 inline 6s.

I run Mobil 1 filters. Cant remember the number. But its significantly heavier than Fram and Motorcraft filters.
