On my new block the oil galley plugs are not installed. I bought some 1/2 inch plugs but they are to small. Anyone know what size I need?

Thank you 1LowGT. But looking at the heads I don’t see any plugs that are the same size as the ones in the block. There are 2 oil galley plugs in the block. One is just below the water pump, behind the timing cover. And the other is above the rear main seal, under the back cover. I think it is a 13 or 14 mm plug and look like small freeze plugs. Unfortunately so far I haven't been able find any information on these plugs. And the local Ford dealer parts guy doesn't really know much about what I need.

Do you see the plug in this picture, this is the only one I can get with cylinder block plugs. I think you are talking about a 6026B? If its the plug you want the part number is F6AZ-6026-BA

Yes that is the oil galley plug. Though the picture transposes it to the left side of the engine and it is really on the right side. And now this is where my problem lies. I have ordered the F6AZ-6026BA and its a 1 1/2 inch freeze plug.(its the 6026A in the picture). So the Ford dealers keep trying to sell me the big freeze plugs. They have even let me look at their parts computer. And we always come up with the wrong part number. I did buy some 14.2mm freeze plugs from O'reillys and put them in they were a little tight but I don't think they will come out. Thank you for your help.

P.S. I have yet to call the ford racing help line, when I do I will post the part number (if they don't give me the F6AZ-6026BA part number).
