Hey guys,

I have some oil leaks coming from around the oil pan area. At first I thought it was coming from the lower drain plug, which I replaced with a new Ford unit (newer style with built in O-ring). Cleaned everything up and the next day I get under the car to take a look and still find evidence of a couple of leaks.

I am going with RMS seal and the side oil level sending unit that bolts into the side of the oil pan....what do you guys think?

Looks like your oil level sensor gasket is leaking too... part# E9DZ-6C626-B. Change it when you change your oil next... and also go with a thicker oil and a quart of Lucas engine oil stop leak.

It will slow your leak down a good bit....

rwood126 is correct, the rear main seals get pushed out all the time...

I would add the lucas, but remember that the 'w' in '5w30' is not the weight, it's the low temperature rating (Winter).

Check your PCV system. Often Rear main leaks are caused by pressure inside the crankcase forcing oil out. The RMS is a weak pressure point.

Hey, if you haven't fixed it yet, check you rear lower intake gasket. My cork ones didn't seal in the front or back for very long. Much easier than changing the rear main seal.
