That was my thoughts, I think I am going to go ahead and replace intake manifold gaskets and vc gaskets this weekend and see if that fixes the problem

Any on the back of the engine? Where is the biggest part of the oil building up? Might be Rear main seal if it is in the back.

if its while driving and you can park it for extended periods of time with no leaks i would say rear main if your getting leaks when its parked i would check the pan itself...wheres oil on the motor just on the left side?? if you planned on changing the intake manifolds then i would do the v/c like you said and see if thats your problem

the majority of the oil is on the left side, back half of the valve cover, back 2 spark plug boots, firewall and fenderwell, it will actually puddle a little bit on the lip back corner of v/c. Haven't noticed any dripping after parked overnight, just when hard on the throttle and only when driving, i can rev while parked and cannot see oil coming from anywhere.

did you get it fixed??

if not id also check your dipstick tube... if the dipstick isnt on all the way or maybe that seal has gone when you build up pressure in the crankcase (from blowby or whatever) its going to come out wherever it can. id check the dipstick tube becuase i've had that problem before easy fix. (plus it would be on the driver's side, and once the oil comes out and hits that cap, its going to send the oil out and toward the fire wall)

I belive this is rear main seal problem. I had this happen to me. I pressure washed under the car and figured out where all the oil was coming from and it was from everywhere, rear main, oil pan, power steering hose, so check those, When they get old they go out, good luck
