oil pan for 351w in 68 mustang

i dont know what oil pan will work, i have a double sump but was told it wont work. If you guys know of and oil pan for a 351w in a 68 coupe it would be appreciated. thanks, lance by the way i will buy a new one but im not sure which one to get.

look for an oil pan from a 69-73 mustang with the 351w, or most any vehicle before 1979 with the 351w. you need a front sump oil pan for the swap.

Are all the small block front sumps before 1979 the same?

no, the mustang ll oil pans are slightly different. there are also small differences between pans in different car lines, and years. the 289/302 pans all interchange though. the 351w pans are unique, even though they look identical to the 289/302 pans. the difference is in the rear of the pan where the rear main seal is larger than on the 289/302 pans, due to the larger rear main cap.
