My oil pan has a crack. I was thinking about removing it and having it brazed but it's rusty bad. I have another Oil pan that will fit the 302 but it doesn't have the threaded hole for the low oil idiot light sensor. Do I really need this? How would I remove this without having the check engine light on all the time. This thing has to be either an open or a short I'm thinking. Someone please advise..

Not all Fox pans are the same...

the pre 90 or 91 have a diff. area between the humps. I had to get one of these older pans to clear the D.S.S. main support as the ones in our car do not clear it.
