The oil pressure in my fox is on the fritz. Most of the time its at the center mark, but at times its one bar higher. After i changed my power steering pump/pressure,return line my oil pressure was at the higher bar for a while.. But its starting to go back down again. Whats goin on ehh?

Do you have a good connection on the sending unit?

your oil pressure isn't on the fritz, your gauge or something else is. I think it is pretty typical of the stock gauges to change around like that. Mine ranges anywhere from below half to over the max mark. The only recommendation I know of is to get a new aftermarket gauge and hook it up if you want consistent readings, mechanical is usually better. Sorry :-\ Most important is that you in fact have oil pressure, so if it was me I would not even worry about it.

Hook up a good guage and find out what is going on for sure. It makes all the difference in the world.

When you first start the car the oil pressure goes up until it heats up and thins out. Also stays up a little better for the first few weeks after an oil change.

What you really need is an AutoMeter gauge. Simple to install, and just about any of us can give you a run down on it. If you buy an electrical one holla at me.

Get yourself a proper gauge and check it. My factory gauge did the same thing. After installing an aftermarket piece I saw my oil pressure was just fine.
