This sounds like a newcock question but I'll ask it anyway. How do I check the oil pressure of my engine? Also how do I replace the oil pressure sending unit?
Basically, while driving to clearwater beach today, stocker gauge dropped to below red at any RPM range. I don't know how long it was like that for, but I'd like to replace the sending unit before tackling that bear of a pump.
It doesn't seem as though I'm having any bearing issues (can't hear anything crazy), so I hope I caught it before It caused any serious damage if its not the sending unit. I remember on my 1991 it was on the block right above the oil filter and it was pretty simple. But from what I see on the 93 its a bit different. It also looks like a different style part. Is it still in and out?
Thanks,
John
