Oil Level Sensor Bung Plug Size?

Does anyone know what size hole and thread that the oil level senor is on our oil pans. I dont want to put the sensor back in and it should only be about 3 bucks for the threaded plug.

Also where might i find this threaded plug?

I just took my oil level sensor to the hardware store and found a bolt the same thread. Put a washer on it with some high temp RTV And it worked great.

I did the same, but I had the bolt machined and used it for my oil temp sensor. Worked out great. Just an idea......

I tried that. I went into the plumbing store and told the guy, "If I show you my bung hole could you show me a bung plug that fits?"

He punched me.

Seldom does someone post something worthy of a CT in their very first post here.

Edited to say................

"i read the question wrong". I was thinking about the oil pressure sensor. Not the oil level sensor.
