LOL, yeah earlier this week and well the bidding ended for them at a price of 900 bucks. They were a brand new set of Alcon/Saleen Calipers with brackets and pads on EBay. No rotor or brake lines though. But still I know that person is here somewhere . Oh and they were in Anaheim so I wanted to pick them up. Good steal for whoever won them . Just curious if it was anybody here. What would have you guys bid for them. My max bid was 800 but I would have bid upwards of a thousand or more if I only was near a computer at the time of the ending.

I outbid you......but I got out bid also...I lost by by $10!! I Think the price would have stayed lower if whoever it was didn't keep bidding all the time. Everytime they got out bid they would bid again. That kept driving it up.

yeah bidding woes

yeah that was probably me. I mean I was the first bidder and kept on bidding on it. I mean I was checking on them at 130 or 2 in the morning. I really wanted them and would have won them...but like I said I wasn't near a computer. I was at the hospital with my sis and her husband. She gave birth a couple days ago. So yeah I was trying to use her phone's internet, but then I had a bad signal, then I went to a library out where she was at, couldn't get online to watch the auction. I actually had to ask someone to cease and assist lol. I didn't have a library card for that particular area. So I said hey...can I use your computer for 2 minutes. I made my bid thinking it would never go that high...and I couldn't exactly wait 7 more minutes for the auction to end so I just bid 800 and left. But yeah if I was home, they would have been mine. Sux for me, but hey I have a beautiful niece and my sis is doing okay. There that is my steam for the day. Oh...question....now would the brembo Turismo's (Saleen's) fit with the Original 94 95 USA Saleen/Speedlines (Flat spoke-saleen on inside spoke-flater looking rim-spokes tapering out instead of in...just like the ones on that 100K S351 on ebay right now? Let me know just curious. If not then I have to go 99Up. Contemplating my next upgrade here.

Sure the brakes will fit no problem, I'm thinking of going to a 14" front brake and they would even fit those!! Saleen is not selling the Brembo kits anymore I just went through all this with them even though they list it on their website. You just have to buy a Brembo kit elsewhere. Brembo just raised their price's but i did find one place selling still for $1150 drilled or slotted, that was 2 weeks ago. Most places are $1350.

Yeah you were the guy I was talking about bidding every day then getting outbid and then bidding again..... You are a sellers dream! I would love you bidding on one of my auctions!!

Congrats on your niece!!

The ALCON Calipers are still available but are VERY Pricey!! They don't say SALEEN on them, but say ALCON in Big Red Letters. They are the Exact same Calipers. PM me with your cell phone number and e-mail address and I may be able to help you. I don't personally sell them, but I know a person that's a Licensed LLC Alcon Distributor and he has them. He has brand new Alcon Rotors also! Good Luck...Mark

Darkstallion95,

Just so you know the latest set on Ebay are NOT Alcons! It's the Brembo kit that were on the later cars. He is advertising them as Alcons....I emailed the guy but have not heard back.

So Are you going to run the bidding up this time also? I see you 3 times in less than 24hrs. I put a bid in last night to see if you would bite...you did

brembos

Yeah I called him on that too. I advised him that they were brembos. But heck yeah I'm bidding on them. And yup, I'm all over it! Question. When you buy the brembo kit...or the Saleen brembo's, are there any mounting brackets like the alcons, and are they different for 94-98 and 99-04 or are they identical. I didn't know if Saleen listed them as 99-04 because of fitment...or because of the vehicle years that they offered the upgrade. I mean if I get them direct from Brembo of course they are going to give me what I need, but in this case, if I find a Saleen/Brembo set, would I have any spindle fitment issues. As of a week ago, I am running the 99-04 rim (25mm-front-offset)...so yeah will see, but I know I am not going to pay over 1K for them, because in that case I would just get them direct brand spanking new and not just new. Who knows how long these have been moved around outside of the packaging. Oh yeah thanks for making my life harder lol by bidding lol. Its okay I like the competition . Go Giants!

As far as I know there is no bracket like the Alcons. Not sure on the fitment issue why they list as 99-up? I would think they would work.
I have emailed the seller 2 or 3 times and have never got a response! Not sure why he won't answer his emails? Makes you wonder!!! I know when I have sold something I replied to everyone!!......how hard is it?? I wanted to know if the Saleen is engraved or a sticker..... I emailed him a few hours after he listed them, and I told him they were not Alcons. I see yesterday he posted that they were Brembos not Alcons.

I can never understand why a bidder wants to keep bidding to be #1??? It serves no purpose except to jack up the price. Don't BID until you're ready to purchase at the END of the auction people!!

EXACTLY!!! Thank You!! This was the point I was trying to make!! All it does is Jack it up!

The sellers Love you but all you do is screw yourself!! I have been Ebaying for 7yrs and when I see it happen I just wonder what they are thinking?? I thought in this thread the point would be made but I guess not The Alcons at the beginning of this thread would have gone for cheaper if this didn't happen the whole 7 day auction!!

BTW the Saleen on the brakes is a "sticker" NOT engraved. I found this out NOT from the seller though. Still NO response from him yet!

bidding. fitment

Well I think that is kinda relative, ain't it. I mean when we bid on something, don't we already know where our limits are (max bid)? The statement of bidding only at the end of the auction would be true if people bid less early on in an auction, then they would otherwise, at the end of the auction. Which I don't think is true. It's probably the other way around, where the more time you have to think about it...the more time you have to rationalize paying too much for something. But yeah any word on the fitment for 94-98's?

I think they would fit too

Only because when you buy them from Saleen, there is no mention of brackets, nor any mention of two different part numbers for the different years and from what I know, braking and suspension equipment is 94-04 for the most part. Okay then thanks for your help. Probably just call up a Brembo dealer or Brembo tomorrow.

"Saleen Calipers"

Okay guys, there is another set of "saleen" brakes on ebay. As much as I would like to identify them without the help of more "eyes" on the auction, I just had to get u Saleen guys' advice. Its an ebay auction. I guess you can just type in saleen calipers. It says they are for 99-04 what not...was going to bid on them...but something about them bothers me. They don't say Alcon on them...nor can I positively identify them as brembos. Should be interesting. Thought I'd throw this one out there for you experts to shed some light on.

They look like the stock Mustang GT PBR calipers used from 99 up. You can see PBR on them. They are better than the 94-98 GT calipers but not as good as 94-2004 Cobra PBR calipers and denifitely nowhere as good as the 4 piston Brembo's in the other auction which are nowhere as good as the Alcons in the first auction!!

I don't think i'm going to go for the Brembo's....I want some 6 piston 14" Wilwoods

Will a pair of '99 Front Saleen/Brembo 4 piston calipers work on a cobra 13 inch rotor on a '94 spinde on a fox? I have access to a wrecked saleen and thought about buying them.
