I have a question. Is any body running 5 bolt Cobra R wheels in the 17x8 size with the lincoln rotor conversion.

The reason I ask, is that I recently tried to do the Cheapo 5 lug conversion on my 90 LX, and the 5 bolt Cobra R wheels I bought would not fit. The Lincoln Rotor Cap was too high and thick and would not allow the wheel to be mounted. I new this was an issue with the '98 '99 wheels, but every website I read said that you COULD run the 95 Cobra R wheels. I know lots of people running 5 bolt Cobra R wheels in the 17x9 size with the Lincoln/SVO rotors with no issues, but that size of wheel rubs on my A arms and I HATE that.

Please don't post the MJBobbitt home page as i have read that until I am blue in the face and it does not answer my question.

I have run the 17x9 FMS versions on my car when i have Lincoln rotors with no other mods at all. They just bolted up and off i went.

I didn't even know anyone made a 17x8 version. WHo does? That could be your prob. As far as i know, only the OEM Ford wheels bolt up fine.

AFS makes a 17x8 5 lug Cobra R. These are the ones I want to use, but I'm starting to think it's impossible unless I want to use spacers or do the complete sn95 front end.

Looks ike I'll be 1 more guy running 4 bolt Cobra Rs on my car.
