I can get a set of OZ wheels (as used in a lot of roundy-roundy formulas) for much cheapness, trouble is they're mostly the flush faced type: i.e. the spokes are on the outer edge of the wheel, not recessed in. I'm not convinced that's a good look for my 66 coupe.

Take a look at: http://www.oz-racing.co.uk/ and give me your thoughts on which, (if any) I should choose.

Thanks guys.

Id keep the vintage era look. check out vintage wheel works, they offer a modern torque thrust style wheel , even in 16" and 17"

Those OZ wheels are nice but for a early Mustang the only wheel to use is a torque thrust or the Vintage Wheel Works 45's. Get them in 16" format with a 4.5" backspacing and you can put Baer brakes with 12" rotors.

Yep, that's what we need... yet another vintage Mustang wearing TTIIs... oh yeah, and don't forget to paint it candyapple red too.

Seriously though, nothing wrong with something a bit different than the "usual", but I do agree it should match the image the car is trying to portray. So, if you really want to use the OZ wheels, the car should probably have the rest of the look to go with it. Otherwise, it may look awkward. But from the image you've got in your Garage, it looks like yours appears more or less to have that resto/vintage look (i.e. no Shelby bits or racy paint scheme), so I agree that finding a more vintage inspired wheel would fit the car better. I guess it really depends on your final goal for the car... if the OZ wheels will fit the eventual image you're shooting for, then I say go for it.

Hope this helps...
