I just pulled the trigger on Bassani ceramic coated mid lengths and a stainless catted Bassani X pipe.

Should be installed by the end of next week.

Also spoke with Joe @ Chicane for about 45 minutes yesterday, after I get the exhaust lined out I am going to go ahead and order his intercooler and a 3.5" pulley and get it tuned.

Yes I just installed the Bassani ceramic coated headers and the bassani x pipe 2 weeks ago. The sound is awesome. I also ordered a pulley from Joe last Friday.

By the way. I see that you are from MO. I assume you are going to the World Ford Challenge?!

What size pulley did you order? Did you get it tuned yet with the new headers?

Yes I will be at WFC9 this year but this time as a spectator since I sold my 66. Not so sure I want to beat on my Saleen on the strip. You racing, car showing or just watching?

I think it was a 2.97 but i'm not sure. Whatever Joe said was best for my car. I got an SCT tuner with custom program for my modifications that I have now. I will have the Saleen in the show and a spectator. So it looks like I will see you there!

Nice purchase, you wont be disappointed, the bassani system does sound like no other!! Enjoy it, and it sounds like your car is going to be insane when your done modding it.. But I do have a question, how much power can those "E" cars handle. I know that they are all forged internals. But I'm just curious.. Thanks..

I don't know? I am just going to go at it step by step and make sure that each step is not too radical and is well thought out, i.e. the intercooler upgrade before more boost etc.....

I would just like to have somwhere in the range of 425 to 475 at the wheels which I think should be doable with a safe tune.

Awesome.. That's good to go step by step.. that's what I just did with my car. So would say it's safe to say that the motors can handle around 550rwhp before they start to crap out???

You got me buddy, this is the first Mod motor I have had. I know the 5 liter and I know nothing about these but I am trying to learn. All I know is that the E cars have forged internals which should help when getting to the high HP #'s.

Yours sounds pretty healthy... Ever run it down the 1320 to see what ti would do?

OH gotcha yea roadracer so i'm not so familiar with those terms. Actually on the dyno they did a 1/4 mile run. I think it ran a 10.78, but I don't recall the mph. But I have never taken it to the track with tires and such. Just that one time on the dyno. And that was pretty recent with this tune of 553 but the car is setup for roadracing. I'm sure with some 4.10 and setup the suspension differently, and drag tires I could get maybe low 10's or high 9's. I'm guessing so I don't know.. Also The car has a safe tune. With 18psi and racing fuel. I'll get close to 650-700rwhp. But yea I don't know maybe you could tell me how well I would do??
