In case you guys haven't seen it yet, this bill is out there to ban the sale of aftermarket parts as well as tires and wheels. Heres is a link to the bill:

http://www.leg.state.or.us/09reg/measpdf/hb2100.dir/hb2186.intro.pdf

and here is a link to a sema website with a summary of the bill, what it does and contact info for oregon politician:

SEMA SAN - SEMA ACTION NETWORK

please call, write, email your opposition to this bill so we can all continue to enjoy our cars.

The proposal sounds rather short-sighted.

I doubt this will ever fly. Damn politicians! That's a way to boost our economy! Don't they realize that the automotive aftermarket is a multi-million dollar industry and what would happen if everything came to a halt. This would affect everybody involved from the material suppliers to the shops that make the parts to the stores that sell the parts to the customer that buys the parts. These people we elect in office have no idea what the hell they're doing.

yup, they keep "talking" about creating jobs yet all their actions move toward eliminating them.

They'll put anything on a ballot these dayz...A-holes is what I call 'em. They should give the stimulas money to the mayor's instead of the state and this type of BS would be avoided

That is freaking insane. Man Texas is looking better every year, hell I'd even think about moving back to Alaska at this point.
