Going to paint the original headers on my 92 vert. Problem is I don't know what the original color is, figure it is flat black but I would love to know for sure anyone know?
I used the vht high temp 1000 degree paint on my nasty looking headers. Worked pretty good. Smoked for a couple of minutes until the paint was cured by the heat. But they looked 100 times better than they did.
I've used VHT hi temp ceramic paint on headers and other engine components and it has held up very well. The key is prep and to follow the instructions to season the part by either laying it out in the sun for several hours or run it on the motor for a few heat cycles in between coats.
