Latest addition to the car - I have had the trunk area between the rear taillightspainted black. I had planned to have the mirrors painted, but the body shop did not recommend it and would not guarantee it.

Take a look at My Car Domain Webpage.

Black between the tail lights

Your car looks good however I wondered why you went with gloss black when all but yours and the one at SEMA typically go with a matte black finish.

We must be on the same wavelength with mods, as I had thought of doing the very same thing to mine. I'm not sure if I would have gone with a full gloss, though. I think I would use a semi-gloss similar to what is used on the 03/04 Mach 1 spoilers.

I have also been talking to a local plastic guy about fabricating a "honeycomb" panel that would fill the same area as you have painted, yet not be a permanent thing, most likely held on by two-sided tape, similar to what CDC offers for the Mach 1's.

Looks really good, though.

I am not a fan of matte finish, unless it is on a old 'rod or bobber bike. I like shiney things

Those are some excellent mods. After its all said and done, how much will you have put into it?

To date:
~$3500 on what I currently have
~ 250 on FLows that I installed and had removed
~ 320 on Stripes that I were installed and removed

Coming by the end of the month
~$150-$200 for pinstriping
~100 for dyno and re-tuning

All in all about $4300 by the end of the month. Ouch!

Had my trunk between the tail lights done in semi-gloss or matte today. Also had the mirror tops done in body color. Told my painter (who I've used for all kinds of projects over 23 years) that some were having difficulty finding painters that would paint it because they are plastic. He looked at me funny and said all mirrors are plastic, whats the problem. Needless to say mine are done.

I looks sweet. Maybe a future factory thing. I wonder what silver would look like there? Still looks sweet, better than the red did. Breaks the back end up and makes it unique.

Fantastic.

What my painter said was this : that he could not gaurantee them. And if road debrie or rocks or bug hit them they were more than likely going to chip. Since he could not gaurantee the work on the plastic, I opted not to do it. He would have done it, but I did not want to spend $100 on mirrors that could be chipped on a $200 mirror in days. However, I am still considering it

Get some pics up, I would love to see it.

Very, very nice car with great taste in mods! Well done!

Do you happen to have any pics of the stripes that were on the car. I'm anxious to see a Red 05' GT with stripes. Any sound clips of the magnapacks?

Much appreciated.

No pics of when the stripes where on. As far as the sound, there is a link on My Car Domain webpage on the Exhaust Page that is a WAV file.
