hey guys ive been wanting to paint my door panels, (just the section with the window controls and the grab handle), for a while now b/c theyve been starting to look really worn out. i read a couple of old posts on here and decided to use krylon fusion paint. I painted one of the panels and the fusion paint was WAYY too shiny. and it didnt really turn out smooth, b/c the part you grab to close the door was worn unevenly. so ill sand it down next time. I really want that stock look. What paint should i buy? Do i need primer too? Ive got a black interior. Thanks

There is a ruberized coating on the stock parts that needs to be sanded off first if you want it to look nice, that is what it giving you that "uneven" look. I personally would go to a automotive paint store and have them mix up some factory matching clored paint and do them that way. That's what I did for my interior. I purposely did not paint the parts you are planning to because I knew they are a high contact area and was afraid it'd look like crap after a short time.

I've had mine painted this way since back in '98 and it still looks GREAT even to this day. Its a shame all the damn imports started doing it, but it still accents the car GREAT IMO, and I get tons of compliments on it at shows.
