I have a 1987 LX 2.5 L mustang! Im wanting to add another 100HP to my engine! Is there a performance chip that could give me that? something easy, cheap and easy to install?

No, the only way to add 100 HP to a 2.3 with one mod is nitrous. Get a turbo motor.

like stated, there is no way for a chip or some bolt on to gain another 100hp besides nitrous. The best choice (if you do a search on Turbo Swap) is to swap in a turbocoupe or merkur 2.3Turbo motor, you will gain way more than 100hp if you go that route~

You realize that would be more than doubling the hp of your motor right? Not possible within the confines you set out.

I don't think it's possible to add 100 hp to ANY engine with a chip except for maybe a diesel.

just install a tornado. I don't mean the cheezy add-on either. I mean try installing a real tornado.

Its going to take an amazing N/A 2.3 to make 190hp.

But of course......It can be done.

I hear some spark plugs add 25HP, maybe it's 25HP each lol. Power isn't cheap and easy no matter how you look at it.

Did you get the 2.5L from a ranger or just put a ranger crank and bearing spacers in your 2.3L to make it a 2.5L?

I really don't think nitrous would do you any good it maybe to much for it. There is a tread about someone I think trying to see how much nitrous it takes to blow a 2.3L up you may want to look at. That 87' LX would proubly do better if you got a 87-88 TC and drop the motor and turbo in to the LX.

Anyway you go good luck
