The same gains can be had by swapping the PI intake and PI cams out if you are mechanically inclined. If not, then the Headswap may be more beneficial and time efficient.

While you won't get quite the same gains with the PI cams/intake it certainly is an option worth looking into. The PI heads will give you an added bump in compression that's good for an extra 10 or so rwhp over just doing the PI intake/cams but it's alot cheaper and easier to do than the full headswap.
I got my headswap kit from Parkway Ford, it includes everything you'll need for about $1300. Just make sure they package everything properly so it won't get damaged in shipping

I did the pi head swap and put comp cams in my old 98, it was like a whole other car above 3000 rpm. It would spin the tires if i floored it in 3rd and i had 315s out back. with has much as i spent on the head swap i think i could've put a blower on it though. just my two cents

Using PI heads requires a PI intake. The cams would be a great addition to the swap.

With PI head you will see a bump in compression and 30-40 HP

I've done a head swap and you need to be ready to have your car down for 4-5 days if you DIYS.

The PI cam/Intake nets around 35 rwhp and the full Pi headswap nets 45.

You CAN install the PI intake and cams on NPI heads.

Just depends on your fancy.

I did the full swap with comp 262's and I love it. Let's just say that before, I couldn't run with LT1's, and now, I kill LT1's and even give LS1's a run for their money.....although I still usually lose to LS1's....

I'd say about $300 for parts, if not less. You can get an intake for about $150-$200.

Also if you can, get the newer intake that has the aluminum crossover. Another good idea is to remember to tap said aluminum crossover for the 2nd temp sensor before you install the intake.

Yes the early intake will fit, but you will not have correct port alignment. Use a PI intake with PI heads.
