So over the summer I decided to get a 331 built by RICK 91GT and slowly but surely got it all together before I went back to school. Here is a quick rundown of the setup.

1991 Mustang GT
331 Stroker using Stock Block
0 balanced 4340 Forged Eagle Crank
4340 H-Beam Eagle Rods
Probe SRS Pistons 14.2cc Dish
DSS Main Support
Pioneer SFI Balancer
Crane 2031 Cam
Power Heads
Typhoon Intake
70mm T/B
SC-Trim with 2.87" pulley
Stainless Works Mufflers

Now on to the pics!!!

Old Motor.... ewwwwww!!!!!

Out with the Old

Need something to fill the hole!

This will do... build-up progress pic in my step dad's repair shop

Even got Rick's seal of approval!! Along with my initials!

Finally in the car

New Motor... Woohoo0ooo!!

Stainless Works Muffler setup. Fairly easy to do and was happy with the result!!!

Nice looking garage there. I'll bet it's nice knowing what kind of craftsmanship you got with your new motor.

I got everything installed using the RIGHT tools, got my air conditioning recharged, and got inspected all at the same place. It was nice since he was closed for a whole week so thats what I did everyday for a week long all alone for the most part so i guess the quality stuff was up to me still...

I made 405rwhp with a 302 and stock cam and 2-1/4" flowmasters.

With the only upgrades being a 331, cam, and mufflers, I expect somewhere around 450rwhp @ 8-9 psi.

yep, basically ported with a bigger set of valves. It seems like their price went up since I got them and would probably just get a good set of aluminum heads if i did it again since their only a couple hundred more.

91ghp5.0

My first combo was a SC-Trim on a stock motor with exhaust. Netted me 272rwhp and 13.1 @ 106mph timeslips

My 2nd combo was the same SC-Trim with powerheads, intake, injectors, 70mm t/b, and power pipe. This netted me 405rwhp and 12.2 @ 114 mph timeslips.

This will be my 3rd and hoping for around 450rwhp and an 11 sec timeslip!!!

Yep, 130,000 miles, 405rwhp and it still was going strong. The only reason I got a new shortblock is cause I popped a total of 3 head gaskets before throwing in the towel. I think it was just my block deck wasn't flat...... and 10psi of boost didn't really help much either.

No sarcasm, but thanks - I can't wait to get a motor from Rick and be in your power range someday. Congrats again and enjoy!
