Yep, Illinois. BTW, those are special Illinois plates. They are for the Route 66 Restoration. The extra money for registration yearly is a donation for that fund.

Hey Thunder. Where did you get those wheels? They look like 99-04 GT wheels. Did it come that way, or did you put those on there yourself?

EDIT - OK I looked on Ford's web site. Those are the standard wheels, and the ones I got are the upgrade. Yours is the first one I've seen with the standard rims.

I got this one from a dealer who found it for me in Atlanta. No choices on rims or interior but she had everything I was looking for as far as the upgrades. I plan on replacing the wheels and rims in the next few months. Figured I would get the burnouts out of my system before shelling out the bucks for new tires and rims!

Your silver was my first choice BTW. Beautiful.

The silver is hot no doubt. I got very lucky because it was the only silver GT in the Chicago area. And from the looks of the hold out on the production of GTs, the only one for months! I spent Thanksgiving night searching all inventories on Ford's site. The only other GTs were the Baby Blue one and Lime Green one. I did find the grey one out in the western suburbs, but it didn't have the interior upgrade package with MyColor.

Nope, just a crappy camera phone picture. I don't have a digital camera yet. (And I am a computer geek...go figure). It's the torch "please give me a ticket now" red.

You can find those license plate holders almost anywhere. Do a Google search for it. Don't buy plastic. Make sure it is metal. They have Bears, Hawks, Bulls, even....the other baseball team.

I ordered new crome 18's for my car today and will probably sell my 17" machined ford wheel with the pirelis.

Thanks for the pictures. I know that most of us have seen pictures of these cars for months but for some reason seeing someone's real car in a real setting seems somehow more, shall I say, "real".
