Should I lower my timing. My car seems to ping at WOT.

That's a starting point.

Exactly...
But when did this start? Any new mods or ??? Has it done this since day 1? Continuing to hammer a pinging engine will sooner or later lead to serious damage.

It seemed to start this summer on very hot days. I already put the timing down 1% a few months back. It seemed to take care of the under load pining at low RPMS but I still get it when WOT on the Highway. The only mod I did this summer was the 3.73s but I know that has nothing to do with it. I installed a 75mm TB, Plenum and a 93 OCT tune from MPH back in February.

Sounds like you need a retune.

It did it real bad tonight. I went WOT to pass a slow car doing 30 in a 45 and she started knocking and pining like crazy. I'm going to turn down the timing more tomorrow. I'm getting steeda pulleys and a K&N FIPK Gen II so we will see what happens after that.
