Anybody know the weight of the stock piston and pin from an 86? The Technical reference book says 583g, but doesn't list it for the pin. The reason I'm asking is I'd like to get some new pistons with my rebuild to up the compression with the Trick Flow heads, but I'm already overbudget so I'd like to get ones that won't require me to get the assembly balanced. I'm looking at Keith Black hyper's, which have a listed weight of 579g piston/143g pin. Any help, experiences, opinions are welcome. It's going to be strictly n/a, no nitrous or boost. Also, any opinions on Speed Pro plasma moly rings and coated bearings vs. normal bearings? Thanks guys.
