placing tail light lenses

what doe you use to ensure the lenses stay on the housing securely? i'm replacing mine. thanks

Im not sure if theres a better one out there, but typically I use a "gloozit" type glue. Thin and flush line of it all the way around should do it. Shoe glue, gloozit are just a couple brands, they're the generic bond all heavy duty stuff.

The correct stuff to use is 3M Windo-Weld:

That will seal them but will it also hold them on?

That's what I used when I replace a taillight some took out in parking lot.It's been 13 years still no problem.That stuffs really tacky,you might want to wear surgical gloves.It'stough to get off your hands.

You can use butyl (dum-dum) or some silicone sealer. I used the silicone and it stuck really well.

Without a doubt it will hold the lenses in place, but to double secure use the clips also.
