If you try to cap the discharge port on the smog pump, you will end up either blowing the cap off or damaging the head of the pump.

Assuming you have no cats, you could run a hose (3/4" ID heater hose fit fairly tight for me) with a breather on the end - it would help keep debris from getting in there. Or delete the pump (for off road use only ).

Good luck.

yes I don't have cats so I should not block it off but I should run a tube either to the x-pipe or just put a breather on the end of it will this make a difference in any thing???

Is the smog pump hooked up to the belt and blowing air? If so, get a smaller belt and bypass the pump. Then you can cap off the pump and exhaust pipe. If the pump is hooked up, the cap will blow off or damage the pump as HISSIN50 says.

smog pump delete kit

Or as mentioned above, block the pipe off @ the X-pipe (I used a bolt and welded mine up) but if you leave the smog pump hooked up...let it vent..don't try to block it off
