You need a fuel line dissconnect tool from the store. Either that or you can break off the old plastic clips on the filter that are holding it on, just make sure the new filter you buy comes with new clips... i was lucky enough to get one.

Just get the tool, its like 6 bucks at any auto parts store. Ford Fuel Line A/C quick disconnect tool. Basically inside where teh fuel line meets the filter theres two metal pieces that are hooked into the back of the fuel filter, you have to push those to the side with the tool to pull out the filter.

The plastic clips are there as a backup to the spring clips inside. Breaking them off will do nothing to help you get it off.

Yeh those thing are hard to pull off. I could not get the left side off untill i got mad and it still would not come off ...ha.....So kind of twist a little and pull at the same time and then it will come off really easy atleat it did for me.
