Nope, the Trickflow plenum is a good quality part and is worth the money in my opinion. I'd suggest a throttle body to go with it, as just the plenum itself won't do much. 75mm is the way to go, that way if you need THAT much throttle body down the road you have it, and it wont hurt anything in the meantime.
All the plenums are within 1-2 HP of each other, nothing even noticable when you're driving. The only reason to buy the more expensive ones is just because you want it all pretty or just want to say you have that certain brand.
