I’ve been expecting tire rub on my drivers side tire and only that tire. It’s the top of the tire hitting the fender. It’s not end of the world rubbing but enough to show on the tire and smell like rubber. Went to start checking for causes and right off I saw that my alignment is still off. What I mean by that is my passenger side tire still faces forward and the drivers side is still turning slightly to the left. I assume this would mess with the travel of the wheel while going over bumps?

Try turning the steering wheel full left at 1-2 miles per hour.If it rubs you'll be able to feel it.If so,you might have to go down to slightly smaller tires, upfront.
And or try different PSI s.
Also has the car been hit (up front)?

Look for loose fasteners at the top of the strut and get it aligned again.

I’ll pop the hood and take a look along with double checking my tire size.

This is only a issue on the drivers side and I’m pretty sure it’s been hit once

I’m gonna call the shop tomorrow and see if it’s covered. The baby is due this week so it’ll probably be next week/

Tire size is 245/45/17. Is that too big?

Yes, the alignment could affect that. Of course without seeing where it hits it's tough to say where and why

That tire size can be made to work. Some guys can get it to fit fine (I have) and other guys have gotten rub.

I have same tire size on mine since I have it . Right side has always just rubbed the lower fender spat . Left side clears . Right side has an aftermarket fender on it . I just lived with it

Not sure. I only just noticed the toe. I called the shop that did it and they are gonna look at it. Might be next week though because the baby is due any day now.

But I’m gonna trash these tires if not my fenders if I don’t deal with this.

Yeah I rolled mine when I had the car painted . Occasionally on a real big bump it will scrub but nothing too bad

I wish that was the case. Just normal driving down the road causes it.

Ok!! Update!! Finally got it back down to the shop. Toe was off and drivers side strut was loose. So far she drives fine.
