I have a '96 GT that has a broken wrist pin. Possibly two. Instead of the high cost of rebuild could a swap from an '02 be done without a lot of cost and what are some of the things I might need beside the engine?

Just the engine. Swap your front cover and stuff over on it and run it. I have put an engine out of a mountaineer in with out issue.
