That's awesome. I just started playing about a month ago. I can play "Mad World" by Gary Jules now, but that's it so far. I just have an old Casio keyboard that's probably about 15 years old now.

Nice man, I didn't know you played. I play guitar, bass, drums, and trumpet. Although I haven't blown horn in quite a while. I've been debating buying an entry level keyboard for a couple months now. That right there looks top of the line. Do you play in a band or just on your own? How does your wife take to it? Mine likes it when I play guitar and bass, she can tolerate drums, hates trumpet, and when I tried to learn some Irish Flute last year, forget about it!

I started playing when I was 9....The double-keyboard Hammond Organ. Nobody plays those anymore. I started playing in the church band about 5 years ago. I bought a Casio to "hack" on to get a little better. My style and technique was horrible on a single key keyboard....meaning trying to play "Hammond organ style" on one of these keyboards doesnt come out right. I bought a $500 Yamaha DGX 505 2 years ago and got better with the sounds and techniques.

We have the Motif ES 7 at church. I started investigating the purchase of a USED one of these (ES7) since they dont make them anymore. I wanted to buy one so I can learn at home on the same keyboard that I use in chuch since it does SO MUCH. When I saw the XS7, my jaw dropped Even part of it IS the sales pitch and talent of BERT (in the video).

Then I decided no matter which one I purchase, it would be "rather" permanent. I found a "hookup" to get me about $500 off the price of the XS7. My sales on my Ebay items have been pretty good, and I can sell my DGX now to fund the extra accessories.

Here is the Ebay listing that just ended for the SAME keyboard I have:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=150317297268

If I could get about $350 for mine on a local pickup, I would be quite pleased.

Thanks
RC

Yes. Just a picture of it would have been more than enough over that guy.

Yeah...got that part RIGHT Away. Im starting to get a little comfortable with "HOW" to navigate through all the 6000 voices, patterns, songs and arpeggios. Also learned how to store the "favorite" settings. The next thing I have to do is discover which sounds I like with specific songs. .... Oh and also how to actually play it.
