The engine in my car is on the stand. I'm contemplating having the car, 65 Coupe, painted while the engine is out which will involve loading it onto a trailer and unloading it and some pushing around and steering. My car has power steering and as the pump and reservoir have been removed from the engine bay.

1. Can I still steer the car when I push it, I realize the steering will be heavy?
2. Is it recommended to steer the car for short distances this way, or am I likely to damage the steering?

Thanks as always.

You should be able to steer it just fine, however it will probably spit out some fluid, so tie some rags around the ports or hose ends.

Thanks Krash. I don't subscribe to the opinion of stang19666.
