its the engine cover that the predproduction engines had. Ford didn't put them into production.

That's called a plenum cover. I've seen a link here where you can get custom-made ones. Do a search for "plenum covers" and you'll find it.

I've had the MidwestAutogear plenum cover on my '05 for a while now. It is a nice piece, really dresses up the engine compartment, and looks like it should have come that way from the factory.

Like Humboldt says, you can get them custom painted or just painted to match your car color.

I'll see if I can post a pic this weekend.

It wont be long till you can order the pllenum cover that was on the concept engine from the factory. It is included with the CS/GT package on 07s.

The factory plenum cover should be out around june and if I remember correctly will cost around $66.

yes, it is going to be an option for '07, so it will be available in the parts dept.
