It's only an inch or two. What's the big deal?

sad to say a lot of companies operate like that nowadays, no excuse but the economy is really changing the face of the industry. Just learned that Redneck Performance (tranny etc) and Barry Grant (carbs etc) are both kaaapppuuuttt

Glad you got your cash back, and kudos to you for the way you handled it

Thank you!

To the OP: I have been hearing a lot of bad stories about that company here lately. Glad I never dropped the change on a 5 speed conversion for my Dart from them.

You know it's got to suck to own a company and watch it fail, but it seems your customers would appreciate you and work with you more if you were honest with them, and didn't give them the runaround...Or hassle them about a refund. Seems handling it with honesty toward the customer would help you pull out of the nose dive.

It ticks me off so bad I wouldn't mind if they went under tomorrow.

Don't let these folks take advantage of you!

My entire trans setup is from Pro motion.
tko600 with their shifter stop plate for the top of the trans, some kind of custom clutch, i don't remember the details on it but it holds my current power easily.
Originally i had a lakewood bellhousing but when i switched engines i got the aluminum tremec housing($100 used on ebay for a 4.6).
I also had their cable quadrant setup, which i didn't want to use, but the clutch broke my quadrant.
I also use a 94/95 fork, which i didn't when it was pushrod, but should have for the extra leverage on the clutch.
The guy at promotion also had me put a thick washer behind the pivot ball. Don't know if it really does anything, but i'm sure he's done alot more setups than me, so...

Extremely helpful on the phone, even when years later i wanted to goto a 4.6. I bought a ford racing flywheel drilled for a an 11 and 10.5 setup for a 4.6 and was done.

I imagine it does. I was fortunate that I bought the carb from Jegs and they swapped me for a Holley with no trouble at all. Even sent Fedex to pick it up from me.
