It's also apples to oranges to compare it to any Mustang, they're not even remotely the same kind of car, and they don't even begin to target the same market. On a personal note, the ride will probably be too harsh if you are used to comfy Mustang's ride; you'd really appreciate Sir Isaac Newton driving this car.
If you don't care about the factory warranty, it takes roughly $2k to make this car runs 12.7 or better with bolt-on parts, street tires and yet still streetable.
Yet, the best part of this car is not the drag ability; it's the handling and the overall peformance including braking. Insurance is much cheaper, too
FYI, this is not a Diamond Start Motor product of Normal, IL (who has a horrible quality reputation).
Anyone interested should PM me. This is a Mustang board. Someone will get really unhappy.

Thanks for the link. I had never heard of the MitLancEv, but it put up some good numbers. Although I would never buy a Japanese vechicle, I am a gearhead and like to read about other cars.
Comfy ride? Warranty? My 95R has neither. Nor does it have A/C or a radio and backseat. But it does have an American V-8 w/ 351c.i., a professional road racing history (IMSA, Speed, SCCA), and you can get parts at the local discount parts store.

You guys also have a habbit of throwing around these #'s without including any information on temperature, barametric pressure, humidit & elevation. Yea maybe given perfect conditions you could see 13.9, but if you correct for standard condition NO WAY.
Seems that 99% of the bone stock #'s I see always have a qualification, Bone stock, except for the mufflers, Bone stock except for the N2O, Bone stock except for the 3.73 gears.

After seeing this post, it only emphasizes my decision on the V-6. Many of those factory options aren't worth a damn.
I'll wait till 2005 to get mine though, by that time, there's sure to be some people who went in for the V-6, only to change their minds and go for the V-8 (too lazy to truely mod it themselves). Get it used for 20% off the original retail price, then spend the extra 10 grand getting after market products, that'll put the V-6 into that special class of cars I like like to call "The Common Sense Cobra"!
Figure when all is said and done, for the same $25 grand someone dished out on a GT, I'll have a modded V-6 easily pushing out around 370-390 ft pds at the wheels!!! Plus have a lower insurance rate, better gas milage, and better 0-whatever times due to its lower weight!
